Andrews Osborne Academy Appoints Coach Drago Dumbovic as Head Coach of the Prep Soccer Team

Andrews Osborne Academy is thrilled to announce the appointment of Coach Drago Dumbovic as the new Head Coach for its Prep Soccer Team, starting Fall 2024. Coach Drago brings over two decades of professional playing experience and more than 35 years in coaching, ranging from youth to professional levels. This appointment marks a significant step forward for AOA as the team prepares to join the esteemed Prep Premier League (PPL).

Coach Drago's tenure at AOA has already been marked by significant achievements, including a State Championship win in 2023. Under his leadership, the AOA varsity boys' soccer team has delivered impressive results, with a record of 29-11-3 over three seasons, and secured a District Championship in 2021and District and Regional Championships in 2021 and 2023, respectively.

With the AOA Boys Prep Soccer Program set to enter the PPL, recognized as one of the country's top prep soccer leagues, the Academy is poised for unprecedented exposure and competition. Coach Drago’s strategic foresight and expert leadership are expected to steer the program towards national recognition and success.

Athletic Director Rudy Kirbus expressed his enthusiasm about Coach Drago's new role, stating, "I could not be happier for Coach Drago. Having watched the success he had over the last 3 years with the AOA varsity team, I know he will do a great job building the Prep Program. Coach Drago's experience and soccer expertise will allow him to recruit top student-athletes to AOA, give them a world-class soccer experience, and then help place them at the next level."
