The first step in the application process is to create an account in our school portal - PhoenixNet. This will give you access to a detailed checklist with all of the admission requirements needed to complete the admission process.

  • 1. Application & Essay

    Please click “fill out” to begin the admission application.

    February 1, 2023 – Application Due
    February 10, 2023 – Notification Date
    February 24, 2023 – Response Due

    Applications completed outside the above timeline will be considered on a rolling admission basis and may be subject to limited space and/or limited Financial Assistance.
  • 2. Admission Interview & Shadow Day

    Please contact the Office of Admission at (440) 942-3600 ext. 238 to schedule a shadow day and applicant interview. Interviews for boarding students can be done using Skype or Zoom.
  • 3. Academic Recommendations (English, Mathematics & Science)

    Please click “start” next to “Mathematics Recommendation” in the online checklist. You will enter your student’s current Mathematics teacher’s name and email address as well as a brief note to the teacher requesting that he/she fill out the academic recommendation. Complete the same steps to request the Science Recommendation and English Recommendation.

    Each teacher will receive a link with the recommendation request. After the teacher completes the electronic recommendation, it is sent back directly to Andrews Osborne Academy.
  • 4. Entrance Exam

    Please submit ONE of the required standardized test scores

    ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam)
    The applicant must register to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) at https://www.erblearn.org/families/isee-by-erb/. The ISEE can be taken at a variety of test sites or at home. It is administered by the Educational Records Bureau. ERB can be reached at (800) 446-0320 or by visiting ISEE's registration link. The cost to take the ISEE ranges from $150 to $225. Andrews Osborne Academy's ISEE School Code: 365565.

    Andrews Osborne Academy offers the ISEE on the following dates:

    Saturday, March 2, 2024
    Saturday, April 13, 2024
    Saturday, July 13, 2024

    SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test)
    Grades 6-12 & PG applicants can register online at www.ssat.org to take the SSAT. Call (609) 683-4440 or email info@ssat.org with questions.  Results must be sent directly to AOA from the testing company.  The cost to take the SSAT ranges between $149 and $287.  Andrews Osborne Academy SSAT school code: 1274

    PSAT or SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I)
    Grades 11-12 & PG applicants can register online to take the PSAT.  Applicants can register online to take the SAT.  Applicants can submit PSAT or SAT I results on the official school transcript, directly from the College Board, or photocopied from the family’s report.  Andrews Osborne Academy PSAT & SAT I school code: 365565

    ACT
    Applicants to Grade 12 & PG can submit ACT results on the official school transcript, directly from the College Board, or photocopied from the family’s report. Applicants can register online to take the ACT. Andrews Osborne Academy ACT school code: 365565
  • 5. Transcript

    Please click “start” next to “Transcript” in the online checklist. You will enter the name and email address of the person responsible for school records at your student’s current school. Upon receipt of the electronic link, the current school will upload your student’s academic records.
  • 6. Birth Certificate

    Please upload a copy of your student’s birth certificate.
  • 7. Financial Assistance (if applicable)

    Need-based financial aid is available to qualifying USA students in Grades 1-12. Families must apply online at https://sssandtadsfa.force.com/familyportal each year as award eligibility is determined solely by demonstrated need, based on the data from School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) and verified by the school.
