Joe Bordonaro has a degree in Recreational Management and a minor in Business from East Carolina University and has been the Health & PE teacher at AOA since 2016. Coach Bordonaro started AOA eSports Team Phoenix five years ago with 10 students and has since grown the program to a stable 25 to 30 students per season. He has led them to multiple tournaments and national titles within their respective leagues.
AOA eSports: Team Phoenix plays all of the major eSports from Overwatch, NBA 2K, Valorant, Madden, and League of Legends. Basically, if there is an eSport you’re interested in and a team that can be fielded, we can play it at our school. Coach Bordonaro looks forward to officially joining OHSAA this coming school year and expanding AOA eSports into the arena of the greater Ohio governing body of sports.
