LEC@AOA Program Overview
In collaboration with Lake Erie College (LEC), AOA has established the LEC@AOA program to offer LEC courses on the AOA campus for eligible students. LEC is a fully accredited college and so the credits students earn through this program will be fully transferable to other colleges and universities. LEC@AOA courses are specifically designed for academically ambitious post-high school pre-college students (“Postgraduate” students).

How to Apply for the LEC@AOA Program
Acceptance to the Andrews Osborne Academy Postgraduate Program is required prior to applying to the LEC@AOA Program. Click HERE to complete the admission application steps for Andrews Osborne Academy.
Once admission to Andrews Osborne Academy is confirmed, please complete the following next steps: - Click HERE to print and complete the Lake Erie College Admission Application - Click HERE to print and complete the Lake Erie College Recommendation Form - Both the Admission Application and the Recommendation Form should be emailed to Andrews Osborne Academy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students will receive a notification of enrollment into the program along with a schedule of classes via e-mail.

LEC@AOA Program Documentation
Students enrolled in LEC@AOA courses will receive a LEC transcript
Grades in LEC@AOA courses will NOT be factored into an AOA student’s GPA
AOA's College Counseling Office will make sure both the LEC and the AOA transcript are sent when/where appropriate
An introduction to the legal system, with emphasis on the law as it affects business relationships. Historical, social and moral factors are examined in an attempt to convey the dynamic nature of legal rules.
A study of statistical methods used for business decisions. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, estimation, hypothesis testing, regression analysis and forecasting. Emphasis is on developing and interpreting information for business research and decision making.
This course will investigate the philosophy and application of freedom in various contexts, including intellectual, academic, educational, religious, and speech. Students will explore various philosophical writings including those of Plato, C.S. Lewis, John Locke and others, and use these as a basis for developing their own philosophy of freedom.
The course provides students with an introduction to the application of psychological principles to sport settings. Topics addressed in the course include motivation, leadership, anxiety management, teamwork, visualization, personality issues in sport and performance management.
This course provides students with an understanding of the social aspects of sport, with an emphasis on the interrelationship of sport and society. Students will be encouraged to think critically on topics such as social values, education, religion, socialization, mass media, sexism, and racism as they relate to the sports industry.
