MS Teams Come Up Short In Openers
AOA girls and boys basketball teams came up short in their season openers at Gilmour on Monday. The girls lost a close one, 16-12, while the boys lost 48-35. Clayton Graham and Trey Wright led with 12 points apiece and Ryan Ahrens added 10 rebounds.
The girls effort was led by strong play from Jensen Sminchak, who provided poise and leadership to the young team. Brynne Stewart and Jaylin Marshall were other key contributors.
The boys return to action today against Lippman at home with a 3:30 pm start. The boys and girls both travel to Canton Country Day on Friday with 4:15 pm and 5:15 pm starts.
