First Grade 
  • Improve and maintain physical fitness
  • Develop efficient movement skills (travel with different directions, levels, pathways and effort)

  • Dribble a soccer ball and basketball
  • Traverse the rock wall
  • Learn the basics of good dental hygiene

Second Grade 
  • Learn the lead-up skills and play lead-up games of soccer, volleyball, basketball, kickball and football
  • Engage in moderate to vigorous physical activities
  • Explore fundamentals of dance and gymnastics
  • Traverse the rock wall at different levels
  • Experience non-traditional physical education activities
  • Learn the basics of good nutrition culminating in a Nutrition Skit musical presented to parents
  • Participate in the Presidential Fitness Test
Third Grade 
  • Learn lead-up games to various competitive games (soccer, volleyball, basketball, kickball, softball and floor hockey)
  • Learn expression through dance
  • Explore the fundamentals of gymnastics
  • Use basic offensive and defensive strategies in games
  • Participate in and complete the 30 day NFL Play 60 Challenge
  • Experience non-traditional physical education activities
  • Participate in the Presidential Fitness Test
Fourth Grade 
  • Play lead-up games and competitive games (soccer, volleyball, basketball, kickball, softball floor hockey)
  • Learn American and International dances
  • Use basic offensive and defensive strategies
  • Learn concepts that impact performance (ex: force, practice, warm-ups, stretching, cool-downs, etc.) and sportsmanship
  • Participate in and complete the 30 day NFL Play 60 Challenge
  • Experience non-traditional physical education activities
  • Participate in the Presidential Fitness Test
Fifth Grade 
  • Apply the rules of various competitive games
  • Refine and improve skills and strategies of competitive games (soccer, volleyball, basketball, kickball, softball, floor hockey)
  • Learn new current dances (American and International)
  • Recognize opportunities for participation in physical activity in school and community
  • Apply the concepts that impact performance (ex: force, practice, warm-ups, stretching, cool-downs, etc.)
  • Participate in and complete the 30 day NFL Play 60 Challenge
  • Participate in PLUS (Peers Learning Using Skills) lessons on self-image, stress management, anger management, and harmful substances including alcohol, tobacco, inhalants and drugs
  • Participate in the Presidential Fitness Test
