    Class of 2020 Commencement Exercises

    Dear AOA Community,
     
    I hope you are all healthy and doing well. Traditionally, the last event at school each year is the Commencement Exercises for our seniors. With the current stay-at-home order in Ohio, we had to make some adjustments to this event. After speaking with our seniors and their parents to gather feedback we have decided to delay this year’s Commencement Exercises.
     
    While we would, of course, like to hold an in-person event on the original date of May 30th, that simply is not possible. Therefore, on August 8th at 9 am (EDT) we will be conducting our Class of 2020 Commencement Exercises. We know that this date is not ideal for everyone and some seniors will not be able to travel to Cleveland. For that, we are sorry and wish we had a better solution.
     
    Our goal is to hold a modified in-person event on campus in August. We will follow whatever the current Ohio Department of Health guidelines are at that time. If we are allowed, we will have as many students and families in the auditorium as permitted. If there are still strict guidelines in place, we may be forced to hold commencement with one-family in the auditorium at a time. 
     
    Additional details have been shared with the seniors and their families, I felt it was important to also share this date change with the entire AOA community.
