Heritage Weekend 2022
From September 23-26 big things will be happening at AOA! A campus-wide event - Heritage Weekend - is designed to create community, build awareness, and raise money for the school while offering a variety of activities for all members of our community!
Throughout the weekend, you'll be able to participate in the Margaret St. John Andrews Fun Run/Walk (Saturday, September 24 AM), the Flip Flop Fiesta (Saturday, September 24 PM) or the 3rd Annual Phoenix Classic (Monday, September 26 AM).
And, we’re incorporating Reunion activities into the weekend. We'll be honoring grads from the years ending in '00/'01/'02 and '05/'06/'07 because, well, it's been a while since we've all gotten together! But ALL alums are welcome! In addition to the events above, alums can participate in a variety of ALUMNAE/I EXCLUSIVE EVENTS (choir, co-ed softball game, homebuying seminar for young alums, oral history project and more!)

COVID Guidelines for Heritage Weekend
Currently you are not required to wear a mask in outdoor or indoor spaces. Unvaccinated individuals may be required to wear a mask indoors.
These guidelines are current as of July 12, 2022 and may be subject to change pending further guidance from the CDC if COVID cases should continue to increase.

Gather your family or fellow alums to put a team together for the Margaret St John Andrews Fun Run on Saturday, September 24 (which includes a t-shirt, participant’s medal, and a hospitality tent after the event). Participants can either choose to run a 5K or walk a 1-mile course on campus. Permanent signage throughout the route will highlight our school's history and there will also be exercise stations for kids on the 1-mile course.
At this casual, fun-filled evening, guests will come in flip flops and outdoor summer attire (think Hawaiian shirts and shorts) and gather around individual firepits with friends and family as they enjoy cocktails that are out of this world with food that is just as good!
We’ll offer beach volleyball (complete with sand), cornhole games, a Home Run Derby and more!
Guests will be greeted by a wall of sparkling wine and Aperol Spritz's as you enter! The fun continues as The Happy Camper Bar will mix custom cocktails (think Moscow Mule, Dark & Stormy, Kentucky Mule, Firesides, Blackberry Tom Collins and Mojitos) and serve beer and wine throughout the night. You'll feast on gourmet woodfired pizzas and pepperoni rolls, antipasto, salad, pasta, lemon chicken and dessert pizzas. A gourmet s'mores bar allows you to make your own treats fireside!
Firepits will be raffled off at the end of the evening (you’ll have 24 chances to win) and Take Flight will be focused on raising funds for a new playground!

The 3rd Annual Phoenix Classic will be held on Monday, September 26 at Quail Hollow Country Club. The Classic allows for community members to put together a team and go out on the links for an afternoon of fun! Golfers will enjoy a boxed lunch and beverages on the course while participating in contests such as the Hole in One, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin. After the Classic, golfers will enjoy a delicious buffet meal and cocktails.
