Facilities
The Andrews Osborne Academy Equestrian Center is an unparalleled facility. The Center opened in May 1999, and is a showcase by anyone’s standards. No detail has been overlooked in our efforts to make you and your horse feel pampered and at home. The horses are cared for by a professional staff who ensure that their dietary, environmental, and turnout needs are met.
The barn itself features 42 12’ x 12’ Loddon stalls, automatic waterers, tack rooms with individual lockers for each horse, 4 wash stalls, and 6 additional grooming areas. There is a radiant floor heating system for comfort on winter days. In general, there is an open and airy feel with wide aisles, oversized windows, skylights, and ventilation fans.
The facility also offers ample riding space. Our beautiful 300' x 300' outdoor arena can be converted into two or more large rings to accommodate everything from a large horse show to daily lessons. Outside the ring, scenic trails are available for use for boarders and within the lesson program. The Equestrian Center also houses two large indoor arenas. The main show arena is a 80’ x 200’ ring, and is attached to our main barn and another 80' x 200' indoor ring. Both indoor rings are equipped with judge’s stands and heated bleacher areas.
The indoor arenas are linked together with a two-story heated and air-conditioned Viewing Lounge, built with the support of New York Community Trust. The Lounge overlooks not only the two rings, but the main barn aisle as well, so spectators can get a real "behind the scenes" view. Staff offices are located in this building, and we have a gourmet kitchen for special occasions.
In addition to the main barn, there are two smaller barns which offer stabling shows and events, bringing us to a full permanent capacity of 60 horses.
