Riding is no ordinary sport, and this is no ordinary program. At AOA, students have the unique opportunity to combine their passion for horses with a quality education. With a comprehensive program that combines knowledge and skill, and a state of the art equestrian facility just a few yards from the classrooms, riders will truly find the best of both worlds.
From the beginner rider to the serious competitor, AOA offers something for everyone. Riding lessons at all levels emphasize strong basics and good horsemanship, and horse show opportunities are available from schooling to USEF national levels. Beyond the barn, students can take elective classes in horsemanship and equine studies as part of their Middle and Upper School curriculum. At the Equestrian Center, we are committed to encouraging and developing the rider, while maintaining an academic balance.
Beyond its ability to promote self-confidence, teamwork, and discipline, AOA is unmatched in our dedication to equestrian sports. That pledge became the vision for a program where riders from preparatory schools could experience collegiate-like competition. This vision became the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA). The IEA is the ONLY high school level equestrian association that is an affiliate of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.
At Andrews Osborne Academy, we're serious about our riding.
