Competition

AOA offers a wide range of horse show opportunities. We encourage participation to all of our riders.  Each year at the Equestrian Center, we host three USEF "A" rated shows and seven locally recognized schooling shows.  We offer the opportunity to travel off campus to nearby rated and recognized shows as well.

Students are able to compete with an AOA school horse, or on their own mount.  Our program is designed to support the serious competitor, as well as a student riding in their first show.  The personal goals of each rider are imperative to success at any level, and the AOA trainers are committed to ensuring that each individual has the necessary tools to reach those goals.

Central t
o the AOA Equestrian program are the IEA teams.  Students can join the AOA Team and participate in home and away shows.  A second team, called the Community Team, is available to riders in the public lesson program.  Throughout the IEA season, riders accumulate points individually and for their team.  These points dictate qualification for Regional, Zone, and National Finals.
